The Lake
Winter’s Lake is a family-run carp fishing lake in Brittany, north-west France. It is a mature, tree-lined lake of 6 acres. The lake is set in the peaceful, stunning and secluded countryside.

The lake ranges from 4.5 ft to 10 ft in depth presenting a large island - a fantastic feature to cast to as well as beautiful open water areas which present different opportunities, other interesting features including weed beds, deep margins and over-hanging trees.
The underwater weed, potamogeton crispus, is abundant in several areas around the lake seasonally however is soft and non-tangly so easy to fish to and around.
There are 4 swims here for a maximum of 4 anglers. All of the swims have wooden fishing platforms therefore rod pods or stage stands are required. we supply the following equipment; barrows, nets, landing mats, slings and tripods

The perfect lake for big carp fishing in France
The lake bed is fairly uniform with a mixture of clay, clean silt and gravel. there are no poisson-chat present however we do have crayfish which are mostly active in the height of summer. We have an all-year round removal program in place for the crayfish.
The lake itself is nature sufficient, rich with natural food including bloodworm, freshwater snails and swan mussels. it can be a challenging water, by no means a run water, but can be very rewarding.
Our swims
WILLOW SWIM
Features an average depth of 7 to 7.5ft, lake bed mostly clay and gravel. Access to steep margins, end of island and big open water areas
LONELY SWIM
Features an average depth of 5ft at the shallower end of the lake, clay, gravel and clean silty areas. Access end of the island with two open water bays either side
TOWER SWIM
Features an average depth of 6 ft, lake bed clay, gravel and clean silty areas. Access to the island including the corner, this side is a sheer drop and open water bay with hard and soft areas
GATE SWIM
Features an average depth of 4.5 ft at the shallower end of the lake but also 6 to 6.5 ft average on the other end. Access to side of the island, shallower channel with gradual slope and a big open water area.
The lake is available for exclusive weekly bookings only from saturday to saturday. the season runs from march to november with our winter season running december to february.
